Confidential Counsellors (CC's)

Within student swimming and water polo, we attach great importance to a safe and positive sports climate. Everyone should be able to exercise in an environment of respect, equality, and social safety. The Confidential Advisor (Vertrouwenscontactpersoon – VCP) plays an important role in this.

Within an association, a Confidential Advisor is the primary point of contact for questions, concerns, or reports regarding unacceptable behavior, social safety, and integrity. The advisor offers a listening ear, discusses potential next steps, and can, if necessary, provide support in finding appropriate help or making an official report.

As an overarching organization, Stichting NSZ is connected to all student swimming and water polo associations in the Netherlands, but does not have its own Confidential Advisor. For support or to discuss a situation, you can contact the Confidential Advisor of your own association. In addition, there are external organizations that offer advice and guidance regarding social safety in sports.

Together, we work towards a sports environment where everyone feels safe and welcome.

Code Blauw (KNZB)

With ‘Code Blauw’, the KNZB strives for a safe and enjoyable swimming sport for everyone. The initiative provides guidelines, tools, and support to associations to prevent unacceptable behavior and stimulate a positive sports culture. Find all information about Code Blauw by the KNZB here.

Centrum Veilige Sport Nederland (CVSN) Centrum Veilige Sport Nederland is the central point in sports where you can anonymously or openly seek advice, ask questions, or make a report about matters that cross boundaries, such as bullying, discrimination, sexual harassment, or abuse.
