Newsletter #1: October & November

Dear dear board members,

This is the first newsletter that you guys will receive from the 31st Board of Stichting NSZ. How epic! A lot has happened in the past 2 months, and luckily a lot more is planned to happen in the remaining months.

Firstly we had our own GA on October 5th. Pffff what an experience. After the 30th Board showed their final settlement and policy evaluation, it was finally time for 5 new great candidates to leed the Stichting. If you don’t know who we are, I would advise you to check out the page on the website, however the picture and text has not been updated yet. This is because we do not have ‘nice’ board pictures yet, ones we have thos we will update the website! Lucky for you I will give a very brief introduction for all of us:

To start off, our Chair: Stef Peper. Stef was part of the board of DSZ WAVE in season 22-23, and he is still active at WAVE now. Next, I will introduce mysef: Paris Treffers Secretaris. After a year of PoloCom at WAVE, it is now time to be Secretary for the Stichting. Next we come to our Treasurer: Pim den Boer. You might’ve guessed it, but Pim was part of the board of DSZ WAVE in season 23-24, this means that there is enough knowledge of the past 3 years in the new Stichting NSZ Board. Luckily, not the entire Board comes from Delft. Darrl Lubbinge, from the far North and active at Golfbreker, will be this year’s SwimCo. Last but not least, we have VinCI Falcoz as our PoloCom. She plays for Leiden and was part of Aquamania’s board last year. If you would like to get to know us better, don’t hesitate to send us an email, I promise that I will try and reply 🙂

Well, now that that is out of the way, we can finally talk about that what all of you wnat to hear. That is of course, that today is the official Day of the International Students. How cool is that!? Seeing that we are all students, and each association must have some International Students I feel like we can give them some more appreciation today!

Well well, now finally about swimming and water polo. This last 2 months we had both NSZK I and NSWK I. The results for both tournaments will still be added to the Stichting website, however I can you a small summary. Firstly NSZK I, which was organised by Ragnar on October 18th. Everyone swam competitievly, where Golfbreker, Hydrofiel and WAVE ended 1st, 2nd and 3rd resepectively. After the NSZK there was a Rotterdam RAVE party where eveyone could dance out the excess energy. Thanks @Ragnar voor organising! The next NSZK if in Eindhoven on December 13th, we can’t wait!

The week after, we had NSWK I organised by Aquamania. Ater a nice party on Friday, everyone was fit to play a small game of water polo on Saturday. Piranha from Enschede won in the beginners poule, and WAlvisch brought home the trophy in the advanced poule. NSWK II is on January 31st in Tilburg, so we have a lot of time to rest and train before then!

Note for all the Swim and PoloComs, the minutes of the AAVZ and AAVW are on the shared Knowledge Database on the google drive. Please let me know if you do not gave acces to this yet, then we’ll look at it together. Besides that the minutes of the GA from the start of the year are also in this Database

This is the end of this amazing newsletter, I hope you enjoyed it! Can’t wait to see all of you at the next CoBo. Oh, if you’re ever bored, send a nice meme to bestuur@stichtingnsz.nl.

Greetings

Paris Secretaris
